Saudi Company Jobs 2026

“Aramco jobs”, “NEOM jobs” and “Red Sea project jobs” are some of the most searched phrases among Gulf job seekers, and some of the most abused by fake recruiters. The reason is simple: most workers on a giga-project are not employed by the famous organisation at all. They are employed by a contractor, a subcontractor or a manpower supply company. This guide explains how that chain works, how to find out who your real employer and visa sponsor will be, and how to use official company channels.

Quick answer

  • A project name in an advert does not tell you who will employ you. Your legal employer and visa sponsor is the company named on your contract, visa and iqama.
  • Large organisations recruit their own staff through their official careers websites. Aramco states that it “will never request fees or payment during any stage of its recruitment process”.
  • Most blue-collar project jobs come through contractors and manpower suppliers. They can be genuine, but you must check the company, not the project.
  • In Saudi Arabia, your contract is documented on Qiwa after arrival, and the employer’s name there should match your offer.

Who actually employs you on a big Saudi project

LayerWho they hireHow they usually recruit
Project owner or major company (for example Aramco, a hotel group, a giga-project developer)Mostly professional, technical and management staff on their own payrollOfficial careers website and verified corporate channels
Main contractor (engineering, construction and O&M firms)Engineers, supervisors, skilled trades, operatorsOwn careers pages, licensed recruitment agencies, trade tests
SubcontractorTrades and site workers for one package, such as MEP, scaffolding or finishingLicensed agencies in sending countries
Manpower supply companyWorkers placed at client sites, including drivers, helpers, cleaners and securityLicensed agencies. The manpower company, not the site owner, is your sponsor

None of these layers is automatically good or bad. The point is to know which one you are dealing with. An advert saying “Aramco project, urgent” may be a genuine subcontractor job. It is not an Aramco job, and nobody should charge you for a “direct Aramco visa”.

Use official channels for company jobs

If you want a job directly with a large company, go to its website by typing the address yourself, not through a link in a WhatsApp message.

  • Aramco: the company’s scam and fraud page warns about fake recruitment and says Aramco never asks for fees at any stage. Its careers section is on aramco.com.
  • Giga-projects, hotel groups and contractors: use the careers page on the organisation’s own official website. Treat offers sent from free email accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook) or lookalike domains as suspicious.

Questions to ask about a contractor or project job

  • Which company will be my sponsor, and what is its full legal name?
  • Where exactly is the site, and where is the accommodation (city camp or remote camp)?
  • What is the working pattern: daily hours, rest day and any rotation?
  • How is overtime recorded and paid?
  • What happens if the project ends before my contract does? Will I be moved to another site?
  • Which occupation will be on my visa, and does it match my trade and SVP certificate?

The occupation question matters because Saudi work permits have been classified by skill level since 2025, based mainly on occupation. See our Saudi iqama and work permit rules update.

Roles commonly needed on projects

Demand changes as projects move from construction to operation, so this is a guide to where to look, not a promise of vacancies:

  • Construction phase: masons, steel fixers, carpenters, scaffolders, welders, equipment operators, heavy-vehicle drivers, safety officers
  • MEP and fit-out: electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, duct fabricators
  • Operations phase: facility maintenance technicians, housekeeping, hotel and food service staff, security, drivers

For typical pay levels, see our Saudi salary guide, which uses official wage statistics.

Frequently asked questions

Is a job “at NEOM” the same as being employed by NEOM?

Not necessarily. Many people who work on a giga-project site are employed by contractors or manpower companies. Check the sponsor’s name on your offer and visa.

Does Aramco charge fees for jobs or visas?

No. Aramco’s official scam page says it will never request fees or payment during any stage of its recruitment process.

Are contractor jobs on big projects safe?

They can be. The risk is not the contractor model itself. The risk is not knowing who your employer is. Verify the company, get the offer in writing, and do not pay for the visa.

How can I check my contract after arrival?

Private-sector contracts are documented on Qiwa. HRSD says employees can approve, reject or request amendments through their own account.
